sent from my great-great aunt
to my great-great grandmother in 1915.
I wish you health.
I wish you wealth.
I wish you gold in store.
I wish you heaven after death.
What can I wish you more.

I love, love, love REAL mail. We relocate often, so to keep people in tune with where we live, I often send postcards.

AWESOME! As one who has been a genealogist for many many years, I appreciate a good old handwritten letter any day of the week! Makes me wanna go poke through some old boxes of stuff RIGHT NOW! This is very cool!

That is neat Holly!!~ I am finding through blogging I am making a lot of virtual pen pals....to me it is modern day pen pals...back then it was sending post cards and letters.....I miss a hand written note!!~ There was always something special with receiving one!!~

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice sentiment. I ran across a notebook of my Grandmother's after she passed away last year and it was filled with similar notes and poems written to her from her friends. Text messaging may be fast but it won't last the years.
