DermaWand: My Beautiful New Best Friend (product review)

For the last few years there has been so much going on in my life that taking care of me, including my skin was put on the back-burner. I was just too tapped out, too exhausted. Well, that has caught up to me BIG time. I am in my early 40's and if I don't do something now, I do not know what else is going to happen to my face. I am always on the lookout for a new skin care regimen or product or device...and after hearing about the DermaWand...I finally had a chance to try it!

I see how my skin has lost that glow, how my eyes are a little puffy, how my skin tone is uneven and my pores look like craters, how the wrinkles around my mouth are starting to become more and more visible...and {GASP!} - my neck is getting saggy! I will also absolutely admit I am totally vain...so while - later in this post you will see me without makeup and may think "that's not too bad," I see every imperfection (that magnifying mirror I purchased did not help the situation!).

Now, I know I cannot turn back time...but I can try! I have gone to salons, received facials, I have had laser treatments and I have even had injections to help. But I am a busy mama! I do not have hours to spend driving around town and waiting at salons - these appointments seem like a lot of extra effort. And, besides I like to be able to do what I want to do when I have the time (not when someone else does). Yet another reason I was so excited to use the DermaWand!

I went into the trial of the DermaWand excited but a little skeptical. Could the DermaWand really give me the results I crave? Well, I can absolutely say that for me, I saw results almost immediately...and I was pleasantly surprised! In the following before and after shots, you may not notice a dramatic difference, but I can see it in person and so can my friends and family.

When I first began using DermaWand, the major issues/flaws where I hoped to see improvement were:

• Vertical Frown line between eyes
• Deep wrinkle on left side of forehead you can tell I raise one eyebrow a lot)
• Wrinkles around chin...and the beginning of jowls!
• Saggy neckline

I began my treatments on a low FREQUENCY and every few days increased it, except around the eye area, where it should remain low (1-2). I am on about a 7-9 right now. You will need to get accustomed to the sensation of the DermaWand, but if you begin on a low level and work your way up to higher levels you should have no problem. Definitely test in on the back of your hand before you begin on your face, just to experience the sight, sound, and sensation of the DermaWand.

I use my DermaWand twice a day (morning and night) for three minutes each session. I always do my treatments on a clean moisturized face. I begin with a sweeping circular motion all over and then move onto the special exercises for problem area that DermaWand has developed. There is a great instructional booklet that comes with the DermaWand and a DVD too.

I saw an immediate difference. It is almost inexplicable!  My forehead appeared smoother, those wrinkles less defined. My entire face seemed lifted and rejuvenated. I was especially pleased with the progress made on that frown line...BUT mostly my pores (which are large) seemed to shrink (for real!). Overall I could only describe my skin as glowing. The texture and tone was improved almost overnight...and that instantly makes your face and skin look better! As I mentioned before in these shots the differences appear very subtle, but in person they are very noticeable.
